Grow & Gather
Grow & Gather is a grassroots, community-driven movement that values and respects all humans. It provides a space for members to openly question and doubt their religions and their roles in oppressive systems, while still enabling them to explore their spirituality without fear of judgment.

There are no designated leaders, pastors, or preachers. At community gatherings, any member who feels inspired to express their thoughts and emotions is welcome to do so.
They might want to talk about a challenging period they're experiencing, either to get things off their chest or to seek guidance, opinions, and advice from fellow members.
Members are also encouraged to discuss their personal experiences with religion, including how it has benefited or hurt them, and how they navigate life after departing from more conventional religious institutions. We support the process of deconstructing and reconstructing one’s faith on their terms.
These practices aim to build a more unified community where individuals can bond over shared experiences, both good and bad, and find companions they trust to help them navigate through these experiences.
Our meetings follow an open forum format, allowing members to either register in advance to speak or decide to share their thoughts spontaneously during the meeting if they feel inclined.
Meetings can last between 1 and 3 hours, which will be influenced by the duration of discussions, and may break into smaller discussion groups should that suit the needs of those who choose to speak. The format of these meetings might change over time to suit what feels most appropriate or comfortable for everyone involved.
Members come and go as they please, and are not obligated to stay for the entire duration of meetings.
Meetings are held monthly, with locations always changing as they are volunteered by members. This also helps to keep us all safe from groups rooted in bigotry that may seek to cause harm. A target in motion is harder to hit.
Rules and Principles
-
Absolutely no form of oppression will be accepted or allowed under any circumstances. Any act or behavior that seeks to suppress, marginalize, or discriminate against individuals or groups will be met with firm resistance and immediate action. Tolerance for such injustices is nonexistent, and every effort will be made to ensure equality and fairness for all.
-
We aim to foster a community where diversity is celebrated, and everyone, regardless of their gender identity or expression, can engage freely and authentically without fear of discrimination or prejudice. We are NOT a welcoming space for red-pill followers, incels, misogynists, or misandrists.
-
We acknowledge all deities, regardless of their existence, as non-binary because they are not human and not confined by human social constructs like gender. This belief significantly impacts how we approach acceptance.
-
Our environment is meticulously maintained as a sanctuary free from drugs and alcohol, ensuring a secure and welcoming space for individuals of every age.
-
Any aggressive behavior of any kind results in an immediate ban from group meetings. Reconciliation may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature and severity of the offense, and by showing true remorse by taking steps to correct the behavior, like attending therapy, and only with the consent of the person who was affected by the offense.
-
We wholeheartedly acknowledge and stand behind the inherent rights of Native peoples to govern themselves and manage their own affairs. This profound respect for Native Sovereignty involves honoring their legal and cultural autonomy, acknowledging their deep-rooted connection to their ancestral lands, and supporting their efforts to preserve and nurture their unique traditions and ways of life.
We acknowledge that Florida and its surrounding islands are the ancestral lands of the following tribes and Indigenous groups:
Ais, Apalachees, Arawak, Borikén Taíno, Calusa, Chatot, Ciguayo, Guanahatabey, Hitchiti, Kalinago (Island Carib), Lucayo, Macorix, Mascogo, Matacumbe, Mayaimi, Miccosukee, Mvskoke (Muscogee), Seminole, Taíno, Tequesta, Timucua, Waikerí, Yamayeka (Yamaye).
-
We passionately promote and support the rich tapestry of diversity, the fair and just principles of equity, and the empowering embrace of inclusion across all facets of life and business. We believe that every individual's unique background and perspective should be celebrated and valued, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to all and that every voice is heard and respected.
-
Whether it's Zionism, Hamas, Christian nationalism, or comparable ideologies, we stand against any beliefs, movements, or governments that seek to dehumanize or eliminate groups or individuals, or attempt to culturally erase whole nations in the name of a potentially imaginary deity, for resource exploitation at the expense of human lives, or through the imposition of exploitative wages or indentured servitude.
-
We stand firmly against the deeply entrenched patriarchal system, which has long perpetuated inequality and oppression by maintaining male dominance in societal structures. This system systematically undermines the voices and rights of women and marginalized genders, stifling their potential and opportunities. Our opposition is a call for dismantling these outdated hierarchies and advocating for a more equitable world where every individual, regardless of gender, can thrive without bias or barriers.
Furthermore, we understand that patriarchy is deeply intertwined with racism, that Black, Indigenous, Latina, Asian, and all other women of color are affected disproportionately, and that it is particularly important for white women to actively engage in dismantling it. This involves acknowledging how they have benefited from this system and taking personal responsibility to address and dismantle it in their own lives.

Excess wealth accumulated beyond $500 million should be redirected towards regular salary raises tied to growth in sales and overall net worth. Excess wealth accumulated beyond $1 billion should be redirected into local economies via essential social programs tailored to the specific needs of those communities. Excessive hoarding of wealth is unethical and should be illegal. Trickle-down economics is a myth. It has never been a reality. We cannot rely on billionaires to act morally, as history has shown they often don't, so they must be strictly regulated.

To ensure the safety of our movement's members, we rely on a grassroots approach, spreading information solely by word of mouth. You need an invitation from an existing member, who will inform you in person about when and where the next meeting will occur.
